Sample level

Coins 0/0 Deaths 0

Arrow keys or A and D to move, Space to jump. Land on a red blob to squash it.

How to draw your level

Use a thick dark marker on plain paper, draw in landscape, and photograph it in good light.

Platform Any rectangle or thick line you can stand on.
Spikes Triangles hurt. You go back to the start.
Coin A small circle. Collect them all.
Goal One star. Reach it to win.
You A smiley face or the letter S marks where you start.
Enemy An X or a scribbled blob. It patrols back and forth.

Drawing a maze or a race track

Maze (top-down) Thick lines are walls. A smiley or S is the start, a star is the exit, a small key shape is a key (grab them all to unlock the exit), and an X is an enemy.
Race (top-down) Draw one closed loop for the road and a short line across it for the start. Add an arrow to set the direction, or the car goes clockwise.
